After the American soldier’s tale of the French sniper, the voice
in German sings about how war can bring back human values into
society: Social differences are levelled out, friendships become
essential and love can break all borders.

The dead Juliette replies angrily that war will always bring
destruction and death, and that only those who live can love.

Of French women firing on our troops
I never saw one myself, but i was told
